Section 4

User Responsibilities

When using this website or engaging the Firm's services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information in all communications.
  • Promptly supply any documents or information the Firm reasonably requests in connection with a matter.
  • Notify the Firm of any change in circumstances that may affect an ongoing engagement.
  • Use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms.
  • Not use the website to distribute harmful, misleading, or unlawful content.
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its underlying systems.

The quality of legal advice depends significantly on the accuracy and completeness of information provided. The Firm accepts no responsibility for consequences arising from reliance on instructions or information that is incomplete or misleading.

Section 5

Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, layout, and structural design — is the property of Lopburi Legal or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable Thai and international copyright law.

You are permitted to view and print pages from this site for personal, non-commercial reference. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or republish any portion of this site's content without prior written consent from the Firm.

Legal documents and written opinions prepared for you in the course of an engagement remain the intellectual property of the Firm until all outstanding fees have been settled, at which point copies are provided to you for your own use.

Section 6

Fees and Payment

Fees for our services are as set out on this website and in any formal engagement letter. All fees are stated in Thai Baht (฿) and are inclusive of applicable VAT unless otherwise noted.

Payment terms will be agreed at the time of engagement and set out in writing. The Firm may require a deposit prior to commencing work. Disbursements — such as Land Department registration fees and government charges — are payable in addition to professional fees and will be communicated in advance.

In matters where the scope of work extends beyond that originally described, any additional fees will be discussed and agreed with you before proceeding. The Firm does not alter the scope of an engagement without your knowledge and consent.

Outstanding invoices that remain unpaid beyond the agreed period may result in the Firm suspending further work on a matter. The Firm reserves the right to charge reasonable interest on overdue amounts in accordance with Thai civil law.

Section 7

Professional Conduct and Confidentiality

Lopburi Legal's advocates are registered members of the Lawyers Council of Thailand and are bound by the professional conduct rules of that body. All information shared with the Firm in the context of a legal engagement is treated as confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties without your consent, except where required by law or by the rules of a court or regulatory body.

The Firm maintains professional indemnity arrangements appropriate to its size and practice area. Specific details are available on request.

Section 8

Disclaimers

The content on this website is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice and should not be relied upon as such. Each inheritance matter is shaped by its own facts and circumstances, and the application of Thai law varies accordingly.

While we make reasonable efforts to keep the content on this site accurate and current, we make no representation that all information is complete, up to date, or free from error. Law and regulatory requirements can change, and we encourage you to consult the Firm directly for guidance specific to your situation.

The Firm does not warrant any particular outcome in a legal matter. The conduct of litigation and probate proceedings involves factors beyond any advocate's control, and no assurance is offered or implied as to the result of any proceeding.

Section 9

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Thai law, the Firm's aggregate liability in connection with any claim arising from the use of this website or the provision of services shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for the specific engagement to which the claim relates.

The Firm shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from the use of this site, delays caused by third parties (including the Land Department or courts), or events beyond the Firm's reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms limits the Firm's liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Section 10

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lopburi Legal, its advocates, and staff from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your misuse of this website, your breach of these Terms, or the provision of false or misleading information in connection with a professional engagement.

Section 11

Termination of Engagement

You may withdraw from a professional engagement at any time by written notice to the Firm. Fees will be due for work carried out up to the date of termination, and any disbursements already committed on your behalf will remain payable.

The Firm may, in exceptional circumstances, withdraw from an engagement where continued representation would place the Firm in conflict with its professional obligations, where instructions become unclear or unlawful, or where fees remain outstanding despite written request. The Firm will provide reasonable notice and take steps to minimise any prejudice to your matter.

Provisions of these Terms that relate to intellectual property, confidentiality, limitation of liability, and governing law survive the termination of any engagement.

Section 12

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising from or connected to these Terms or a professional engagement with the Firm shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts.

Where a dispute arises, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through direct, good-faith discussion. If a resolution cannot be reached within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to formal proceedings.

The Firm's professional conduct is additionally subject to oversight by the Lawyers Council of Thailand. Complaints regarding professional conduct may be directed to that body.

Section 13

General Provisions

  • Entire agreement: These Terms, together with any formal engagement letter, constitute the full agreement between the parties on the subjects covered.
  • Severability: If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
  • Waiver: A failure to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver of the right to do so at a later time.
  • Assignment: The Firm may involve other members of the practice or suitably qualified colleagues in your matter. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without written consent.
  • Notices: Formal notices should be sent in writing to the Firm's principal address or to [email protected].
Section 14

Changes to These Terms

The Firm may revise these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the website following publication of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Where a change materially affects the terms of an existing engagement, we will notify you directly and seek your agreement before proceeding.
